I had a lot of fun this summer.

First of all, I joined  a company  trip of my (father’s/mother’s). 

We went to Sanjo City by bus. 

My friends also joined the trip . 

We had  a barbecue and fly a kite together, and played tag together there. 

We were so tired and fell asleep / on the way home. 

 

Second, I got the 2nd prize on the water gun competition. 

It was easy to win on the first round. 

but In the final round, I was very nervous. to play with the 6th grade student. 

I  have had to fight with a 6th- grade student.

It was a close game.  But Unfortunately I couldn’t win. 

Even though I lost the game / I was happy / because I received the prize of 2,ooo yen. 

Isn’t it great?

ぼくは去年の夏、いろいろ楽しみました。

 

まず初めに、お父さんの社員旅行に参加しました。

ぼくたちはバスで三条市に行きました。

友達も一緒に参加しました。

ぼくたちは、バーベキューをしたり、凧揚げしたり、鬼ごっこをしたりしました。

家に帰る途中、疲れすぎてずっと寝ていました。

 

二つ目は、水鉄砲大会で二等を取ったことです。

初回戦は簡単に勝ちました。

しかし、決勝戦では　とても緊張しました。

６年生と戦わなければならなかったのです！

とっても惜しい戦いでしたが、残念ながら負けてしまいました。

負けてはしまいましたが、賞金2000円を手に入れたので、嬉しかったです。

（2000円ももらえるなんて）すごいよね？
